Tim Mulroy is Head Teacher – Special Education at Murwillumbah High School in northern NSW. In this role he supports teachers and students in a range of settings including classes for students with severe, moderate and mild intellectual and associated physical disability, autism, behaviour disorder and emotional disturbance. He is also the school Learning Support Team Co-ordinator working with specialist staff to target resources for students in mainstream classes.
Tim commenced his career at Wilcannia Central School in 1979 teaching a range of classes from Kindergarten to Year 10.
Tim has spent time relieving as Deputy Principal and has also relieved as a Student Services Consultant with the DEC.
He has been an active member of the Federation throughout his career having been first elected to Council in 1980 for the Barrier and Wilcannia Association. He was a Country Organiser from 1982–1988. He is currently the Councillor for Murwillumbah Association and sits on the State Executive as Vice President of the NSW Teachers Federation.
