Kylie Captain is a proud Gamilaroi woman, born and raised in the Redfern/Waterloo Community. Kylie is a primary school teacher and leader in Aboriginal Education. She has deep understanding of pedagogical knowledge and practices to engage Aboriginal students. She has extensive experience presenting professional learning for schools, School Services staff and is the Vice President of the Aboriginal Studies Association.
Kylie has had an impressive career working as a FaCS Caseworker, Assessment Officer at the Child Wellbeing Unit, Classroom Teacher and now Aboriginal Education and Wellbeing Officer with the Department of Education.
