Kristy Davies applies deep knowledge, commitment and understanding, supported by her interest and focus on inclusive education and promoting quality learning experiences in the Kuta-kaya faculty (Support Unit) and across her current learning community at Kurri Kurri High School. She is a passionate Special Education teacher, with teaching experience in various special education settings from K-12, in South Western Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter Valley.
Effective and professional communication with students, families, staff, external agencies, and colleagues leads to achievement of student learning and IEP goals, increasing current opportunities and improving post-school outcomes. Kristy initiates and maintains effective partnerships with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
Kristy is passionate about mentoring early career teachers, and supporting teachers to collaborate to exceed educational expectations through innovative planning, programming and assessment.
This interest and experience led to activism within the NSW Teachers Federation over the past 6 years, established within leadership roles such as Workplace Federation Representative, Women's Representative, Association Counsellor and Association Secretary.
