Amanda Delvecchio is an Assistant Principal at Granville East Public School. Amanda has taught across all stage levels in NSW and Victoria. Amanda’s current role is supervisor of stages 2 and 3 with a focus on curriculum support. The bulk of her experience is in schools with high EALD student numbers and low socio—economic background. She is an integral part of the school executive team at Granville East that was identified by Social Ventures Australia (SVA) as one of number of school across Australia that engages in implementing innovative, forward thinking school experiences for students in socially disadvantaged areas.
As part of the school’s exploration into alternative approaches to reporting of student learning outcomes, Amanda has led her team to develop innovative student led learning conversations. These conversations have given her an insight into student learning, engagement and relevance of the classroom curriculum.
