Narelle Nightscales is currently Head Teacher of English at Elizabeth Macarthur High School, a partially selective high school in South Western Sydney. She has been a teacher and head teacher for 19 years, with experience in socioeconomically disadvantaged public schools, including schools with a high percentage of students from language backgrounds other than English, and partially selective schools. Narelle is an experienced MeSH leader, developing units for the new prescriptions of the HSC, and is an experienced Senior Marker of Extension 2 English.
In her current role, Narelle leads a large, diverse faculty with a focus on differentiating the curriculum for a variety of learners. Her research interests are centred on formative assessment and developing a growth mindset.
