Supporting Teacher Wellbeing after a Disaster

Overview

Teachers often carry a double burden when experiencing the significant impacts of disasters – as both an individual coping with the trauma of the disaster and an adult responsible for the care, wellbeing and continued learning of students in their school communities. This webinar will assist teachers to identify the psychological, behavioral, occupational and social impacts of disasters on teachers as well as 5 core principles of recovery following a trauma. Participants will develop knowledge and awareness required to develop and implement a self-care plan that can be helpful following a traumatic incident.
