Natalie Pierson

Natalie is a proud Koori woman from La Perouse, Sydney. She is currently an Aboriginal and Education and Wellbeing Advisor for Department of Education and has been working in a advisory capacity for 10 years. Prior to this position Natalie was a classroom teacher at Darlington PS for 12 years.

In line with the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Strategy (2015) Natalie is responsible for leading the development, implementation and evaluation of an extensive range of educational programs for Aboriginal students, their families and communities and their teachers. Ongoing professional development is provided to Directors, Principals, Teachers and Community.

Natalie is a passionate advocate for Aboriginal Education. She has a strong focus on improving the outcomes of Aboriginal Students as well as educating all students and educators about Aboriginal history and culture.
